Standing cataloging priorities

  1. New acquisitions
  2. New content from currently licensed journal packages (transfers, adds, etc.)
  3. New content from currently licensed e-book and conference packages
  4. UC supported open access resources (e.g. eScholarship, BioMedCentral, DOAJ, Knowledge unlatched, Luminos)
  5. Other open access resources (by request only, such DOAB, JSTOR OA eBooks, OAPEN, SpringerOpen books & journals, Open Textbook Library, Open Book Publishers, etc.)
  6. New content from other licensed packages not covered by #1-3

Chinese cataloging priorities:

The following priority order is proposed and in consultation with the East Asian Studies CKG.

  1. New acquisitions of new contents (Title level cataloging to be provided only if URLs of individual titles are provided)
    • Apabi historical newspapers (Tier 2: 4-UCB, UCLA, UCSD and UCI) (Pending on license term)
    • North-China Daily News & Herald Newspapers and Hong Lists (1850~1951) (上海图书馆 字林洋行中英文报纸全文数据库) (Tier 2: UCI, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCSC)
  2. New contents from currently licensed journal packages
