Head, UC San Diego Chinese, Japanese, Korean (CJK) Cataloging and Metadata Unit UC San Diego Library BIBCO Coordinator

Responsibilities

As head for the CDL Shared Cataloging Program, provide leadership for and management of the Shared Cataloging Program Unit (SCPU) which provides bibliographic records to the ten UC campuses for shared licensed and selected open access electronic resources. Provide general oversight and coordination of operations, workflows, and special projects and promote the continuous improvement of work processes and staff skills development.

In serving the UC San Diego Library Metadata Services, provide leadership and functional expertise for the CJK Cataloging & Metadata Unit, coordinate daily operations, design workflows, oversee CJK special cataloging projects, and promote the continuous improvement of work processes. Serve as the principal cataloging resource person for CJK language materials. Serve as the UC San Diego Library BIBCO Coordinator and manage local BIBCO and ECIP (for UC Press Monographs) cataloging activities. Catalog and contribute NACO, CONSER and BIBCO records as appropriate.
