Adrian Turner Staff Profile
Program / Service
Publishing, Archives, and Digitization
Senior Product Manager
Adrian’s emphasis is on the strategic management of the Online Archive of California (OAC) and Calisphere, two services administered by the CDL’s Publishing, Archives, and Digitization Group. Together, the OAC and Calisphere provide broad public access to unique collections maintained by libraries, archive, museums, and other cultural heritage organizations in California. He also supports collection management tools hosted by the CDL (UC DAMS and ArchivesSpace), for use by the UC Libraries to steward unique collections. Working closely with collection managers across the UC Libraries and OAC/Calisphere contributor base, and through strategic partnerships with the broader library community and other collaborators, he seeks to extend CDL’s ability to provide transformative aggregation and discovery solutions — while ensuring the reliable operations of existing services.

M.A, UC Santa Cruz
Adrian joined the CDL in 2002 serving as an operations manager for the OAC. His general interests lie in standards and tools that support the creation, description, management, and dissemination of digital resources hosted by the CDL, on behalf of UC Libraries — as well as cultural heritage organizations throughout California. Prior to joining the CDL, he worked as an archivist and manuscripts processor at UC Irvine Special Collections and Archives and the Sacramento Archives and Museum Collection Center, and as a antiquarian book cataloger.
