Responsibilities

Joe works with a team to support/maintain the development, staging and production Linux environments in AWS (Amazon Web Services). They also ensure infrastructure services are highly available to the CDL community by continually designing and making improvements to the infrastructure. He collaborates with other engineers, vendors and partners to provide the tools necessary to help CDL users be successful. He is certified in the areas of Server, Linux, Virtualization and Networking. 

Background

Joe joined the CDL in 2008. Prior to that, he worked for Sun Microsystems for 7 years as a field engineer working closely with customers on various server, network and storage issues. He is a hard working individual who strives to provide excellent customer service, and has an eagerness to learn/expand/share his knowledge to the CDL community and abroad. He feels that CDL is a great place to work where you can really hone and develop your skills. In his free time, he loves to mountain bike and spends a lot of time with family and friends.
