Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
- WAS to Archive-it Transition. We have been working with Archive-it staff to successfully test and document the migration process. WAS tech staff have created custom exports of seed lists and metadata for import into Archive-it. - Russian Politics Web Archive, UCLA Library
This web archive captures blogs, editorials and other materials posted online by, or on behalf of, 17 Russian political and cultural figures who have expressed some opposition to foreign and domestic policy in Vladimir Putin’s Russia. The archive also captures eight websites that chronicle a range of contemporary political and human rights positions and events that reflect the prevailing climate.

- Sex Worker Rights and Harm Reduction Organizations, UC Davis University Library
This web archive captures the websites of two prominent San Francisco Bay Area Sex Worker Advocacy groups. The information on these sites is captured to support the research of sociologists studying the intersections of sexuality, informal economies, gender and the law.

- Google Books Settlement Web Archive, CDL
A periodically archived set of websites broadly covering facts and opinions about the Google Books lawsuit and the proposed (and subsequently rejected) settlement. It attempts to capture the arguments both for and against, and includes news, editorials, court documents, and blog posts. Some coverage of related lawsuit against HathiTrust is included.

WAS Service Description
The Web Archiving Service (WAS) enables librarians, archivists and researchers to capture, curate and preserve websites and web‐published materials. WAS makes it easy to build web archives, with scheduling and other tools to help manage your archive. You control public access to your archives and can configure the appearance and navigation of each archive. We also provide collection development consultation and help desk support for web archiving questions.
